2025 Rain Garden Lottery – Apply by May 8!

The Holland Neighborhood Improvement Association is teaming up with Metro Blooms to help residents install beautiful, eco-friendly rain gardens at a reduced cost!

Rain gardens use native plants to filter stormwater runoff, protecting local waterways and supporting pollinators—all while adding curb appeal to your yard.

Six homeowners in the Holland neighborhood will be selected by lottery to receive:

  • A site consultation

  • Custom rain garden design

  • Installation by Metro Blooms and/or the Conservation Corps

  • Ongoing support and guidance

Cost to participants: Homeowners cover the cost of plants and materials, typically $400–$500, depending on garden size and preferences.

HNIA covers design, installation, and coordination costs.

To enter the lottery:

Email your name and property address to holland@hnia.org

with the subject line: “2025 Rain Garden Lottery”

Deadline to apply: May 8, 2025
