340-27th Ave NE
Minneapolis Public Works will be breaking ground within the next several months on a new storage and maintenance facility at the intersection of 27th and University Aves NE. The facility will include space for indoor vehicle maintenance and storage, and the opportunity to house administrative staff. In addition to being build to LEED standards, the facility will also include public art and green space, and sustainable components such as stormwater capture systems, recycled building materials, solar panels, rain gardens, and pollinator beds.
The project team first came to our general meeting in October 2016 to present their proposed plans and gain feedback from the neighborhood. They have been back several times to garner your input as site design has moved forward. The most recent presentation can be found here: Neighborhood_Presentation_7-13-2017_FINAL_FLOODPLAIN.pdf . They have also developed a Frequently Asked Questions page (Holland_Neighborhood_Presentation_Q__A.pdf).
